Outline Programme
FLUX runs over the course of two days, culminating in the selection of up to four teams to pitch head to head in the grand finale on 29th - 31st March 2010. Your audience will include business experts, recruiters and student teams from across the UK.
Day One

Business Planning - Having been fully briefed, each team will receive information about a real business. From this you'll develop a visual business plan, using our strategy game 'Xing'. Facilitators will help you structure your plans and consider issues such as sequencing, cash flow, equity sharing and defining your critical path. |

Preparing for your business meetings - In the evening you will work with your team to prepare for meetings with business experts the following morning, fitting in drinks and networking with business experts, fellow students and graduate recruiters. |
Day Two

Business meetings - Our experts come from key business areas of marketing, finance, human resources, strategic planning and operational management. You'll spend ten minutes with experts from each area, refining your plan and assessing where you need to make improvements. It is vital that you get the most from these meetings -you're your performance is being assessed throughout. |

Pitching - This is what you have been aiming for throughout. You get five minutes to pitch your business idea to a panel of business 'dragons' before handling their probing questions. Can you engage the dragons in your idea and persuade them that your business plan will work? |

|
Grand finale - The best teams from the event will be selected to pitch head to head in front of a packed auditorium. This is it, there can only be one national champion! |

The party - having worked tirelessly for more than 24 hours it's a chance to let your hair down, while networking with our business experts, fellow students and graduate recruiters. |
Day Three
|
|
Engage with employers - as well as helping you learn about business and business planning, FLUX is a great way for recruiters to see you in action. So, at the end of the event there is the chance for you to talk with them about forthcoming opportunities. |
